Executive Committee |
The Executive Committee is comprised of the Officers of the Board and the CEO of the corporation. Facilitated by the Board Chair, this committee meets at least quarterly in person during conferences, and virtually as needed in between. The Executive Committee has full authority to take action in any emergency arising between regular meetings and assist the CEO in formulating plans and making recommendations to the Board. The Executive Committee provides the primary financial oversight and serves as the audit committee. The Executive Committee also oversees the annual CEO performance evaluation and compensation review.

Investment Committee |
The Investment Committee oversees the performance of mhca’s investment portfolio. This committee oversees the Investment Policy Statement, reviewing annually to ensure that the policy supports the financial and organizational goals. Meets quarterly to review performance, ensure adherence mhca to the IPS, and address any needed adjustments to the portfolio. mhca has selected Mark Klopfenstein / WesBanco to be our fund manager. To avoid conflicts of interest members of the Investment Committee may not use Mark Klopfenstein to manage their personal or organizational assets. The Investment Committee is chaired by the Treasurer of the Board.

Membership Committee |
The Membership Committee focuses on, and takes a leadership role in, the recruitment, onboarding and engagement of members. The Membership Committee provides guidance to mhca on strategies for member engagement, including targeted recruitment of exceptional potential members, takes an active role in connecting new members to support peer network development and cultivate a sense of belonging, and suggests approaches to curated engagement opportunities at and between conferences. The committee is open to both board members and non-board members of varying tenures, meets quarterly, and is chaired by the Secretary of the Board.

Strategic Plan Advisory Committee |
Strategic Plan Advisory Committee is composed of board members, with the option to gather feedback and insights from non-members as needed and appropriate. Meets quarterly to review progress on the strategic plan, provide input that aligns with the strategic framework and priorities for mhca, and assists in facilitating progress towards goals where appropriate. The Strategic Plan Advisory Committee is chaired by the Vice Chair of the Board.
